Question / Help Refreshing Capture Card while streaming

In Xsplit I'm able to refresh my card while streaming via xsplit however I seem to crash when i try to goto properties while streaming. Is there anyway around this? Refreshing my card stops my audio desync so it's necessary.
 
Crashing in OBS is abnormal. Audio desync is also abnormal. What card? If it's a USB 2.0 card, you're supposed to have "Use buffering" on to ensure syncing on a delayed device, though I'm removing the option in later versions as it'll be automatic.
 
I'm using the Avermedia Live Gamer Portable. I was having no issues up until today. I started having desync audio issues while streaming and recording today. I do have use buffering option on. Now I'm having audio/ frame lagging issues as well.
 
I'm assuming you mean post a video of the situation? If so I can try but need to download some software really quick. Also how do I obtain the log if it crashes?
 
Help -> Logs -> Upload last log file

If you get a crash, post the crash log it generates to pastebin.com and then link it here.

Would like to see a video of the sync issue though.

Well I meant pastebin of the crash log, when it goes "Oops! OBS has crashed", though I'm guessing it's just freezing at this point if you didn't get that.

Also, I can't help but to say tinyurl is quite the unideal place to post videos. I couldn't hear that video at all, and their video player is one of the most abysmal things I've ever used in my entire life.
 
I'm sorry. The point of the video was just to show the ending that it crashes when I try to goto properties. I could upload to youtube if need be.
 
Oh, no no, I'm sorry myself. I wanted a video of the sync issue more than anything, didn't mean to confuse that.
 
Oh im sorry. I have a bunch of videos with the sync issues since I record when i go live. Should I put those in tinypic as well? I thought you were interested in the not being able to refresh the capture card issue. I personally think that could resolve my issue with desync if I could refresh the card while streaming or recording.
 
Not on tinypic, no no. Definitely need a more reliable video service for your videos.

Anyway, so OBS is basically freezing up for you when you go to properties, right?
 
Yep that is the issue I'm having. Plus the audio desync which is a newer issue for me. It was working perfectly recently. You can check my past broadcast on twitch to see the differences actually.
 
Please let me know if I have to send more videos. I would love to have this feature fixed because I like obs a little more than xsplit but if I have these two issues I'll unfortunately will have to resort using xsplit =(.
