Reference local file

How do you make it so that you can manually set the local file in a media source? As in I do not want to use the browse function on the properties window. And if there is no way how would you get rid of the C: at the beginning of the file name. I am trying to make my OBS install completely portable and I need to be able to reference things from the root of the drive instead of basing it off of a drive letter.

There may be a post about this already but I honestly am at my wit's end on what to search.

I do not believe there is a way to use relative paths instead of absolute paths.
There IS the --portable mode switch, that might allow it, but if it does all paths would be relative to the starting directory rather than the root of the drive.

I have a way to do it externally through Liornboard, and it also works if I open OBS after moving the file and I can manually copy the file path and delete the drive letter but no way directly through source properties yet... I have it finished for now but would love to be able to do a workaround for adding things in the future
