Question / Help Reduce Projector Screen Delay

Hello, I'm new to using obs. I'm wanting to both stream and send an hdmi out to live audience. I'm getting some delay from the screen output (when someone talks, the voice hits the crowd a moment before the lips move on the screen). Is there something in the OBS settings that would allow me to reduce in output delay:
HP Pavilion computer:
I-7, 16gb ram, hud intel 620 + mx250 Nvidia graphics.
Thanks much for sharing your knowledge.

You can delay the audio but it would affect the output as well.

OBS just isn't designed for this. The Preview projector is video only-- there's not really any system even attempting to keep that in sync with any audio monitoring that might also be going on. If your stream output is in sync, then OBS is keeping in sync the things it is trying to keep in sync.

One suggested workaround:

Using a multistreaming service that supports a low latency stream (Mixer can be as low as 1s or so) it might make sense to use that to stream to two platforms 1) your intended target and 2) a Mixer channel, and then use the Mixer stream as a replacement for your live audience. They'll be a second or so behind, but the audio should stay in sync.
