Question / Help Red Screen when using Capture Card Scene on OBS

Hi there, I'm experiencing a problem that i have no idea how to fix. On OBS version 0_651b, I would add a scene (video capture device) and input the resolution and frames (1920x1080 and 60 fps) then i would preview stream and it would come out with a Red Screen. But my CLR plguins work.

I've tried both 32 bit and 64 bit version of OBS and my PC is a 64 bit machine.

Also I've tried the OBS test build version 0.10.1 and my video capture device would work perfect on it, but the CLR plugin won't work (mostly because when i installed it it didnt come with that folder or even an OBS folder for me to put in)

MY whole goal is to have the twitch alert plugins for subscribers, followers, and donations to work, as well as the Video Capture Card and i can't seem to figure it out. it's like it works on 1 version but not the other...

my video capture card is a Hauppage HD PVR 2, forgot to mention that sorry.

Thanks in advance!

The Hauppage HD PVR2 does not work in OBS, as it doesn't follow vidcap API standards (as I understand it).

Special support is planned to be included in the OBStudio rewrite, but for the time being I believe the only way to use the HDPVR2 in OBS is to use their software, and capture the preview window.

Try searching for Hauppage HD PVR2 in the Q&H forum up at the top-right, should find quite a few threads about it.

Thanks for replying FerretBomb. I guess i just have to stream without the twitch alerts. Also, I checked in the Q&A like you said and it's seems to be too much of a hassle to get it working right.

I also found this video that was uploaded by Hauppage themselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IajT6nSdLPQ
and that's on the OBS test build version 0.10.1, which i got the capture card to work on like i said before,but....twitch alerts wouldn't work :\.

Thanks again for the reply!
