Recortding in OBS from TV

I am trying to record something from my DVR with OBS.

I connect HDMI cable through my video capture card in my laptop prior to opening OBS.

For the source I select Video Capture Device. I select USB Video as my device.

I hit record and there is no picture at all.

I have been able to do this previously but can't get it to work now.

Any suggestions? I am sure it is something simple. Just can't get it to work for me right now. :(

The DVR has an HDCP copy protection ! cant give suport to remove HDCP its illegal !
