Question / Help Records Play Black Screen

Hello Everyone,

I tried my best to follow the overview and quick start guide however I couldn't quite get the recording to work.

I am trying to record game play of a game called Asheron's Call. Everything seems to be working fine however when I play the file using the Wimpy flv player it is just a black recording.

I've tried both the active recording as well as the replay buffer recording. It also doesn't seem to matter if try to record monitor or window capture. Everything looks good in the preview as well as in the OBS screen while I am playing, just when I try to play the recorded file it is black.

I'm super excited to finally find a replay buffer app, any help is greatly appreciated.

That worked. Wow wasn't the recording all along but the player. Talk about looking in the wrong place for the problem.

There are a small group of media players I trust to open the recordings made by OBS properly. If I see the name of one that isn't on the list, I automatically recommend one that IS on the list.
