I have no trouble using OBS for video, audio in these videos are recorded just fine through my Scarlett18i20. For some reason when I want to record my desktop audio as an audio-only file (.wav, .flac) and then stop the recording, OBS gets hung on "stopping recording..." even when the recording is under a second long. Clicking "stopping recording" or exiting corrupts the file.
I've waited up to 20 minutes and still nothing. Checked my Task Manager and my CPU, Memory and disk weren't acting up.
I'm using the Custom Output (FFmpeg) settings in my Output>Recording tab. I tried recording at 256kbps and 128 kpbs and still nothing. I have a feeling I need to add a specific Audio Encoder Setting at the bottom, but I have no idea what I'm capable of adding.
Does someone have a fix for this, or at least where I can find custom Audio Encoder Setting commands? I'd love to be able to record audio directly instead of having to remove the audio from a video through another program.
