Hello,
This is the first time I'm posting here and first time I've encountered this error (?). First, a little context if you all don't mind: This is the fourth time that I've been doing a pretty "long" recording. I do these recordings once a week. In the first week, I used an very old GPU, my phone as a capture device used the OBS defaults, and it the recording went smoothly as I could have hoped for. However, during the editing part of the video, I found out that the rendering was taking too long (I guess a 1gb GPU just didn't cut it). In addition, the raw footage was not as sharp as I'd hoped for (output was at 1080p). So, I got myself an 4gb RX 570, and thought of recording into 4k so that when I crop and rescale to 1080p, it would hopefully be better.
The second week, I looked up a YouTube video on how to properly set a 4k recording and recorded, again using my phone as a capture device. However, there were times where in the recording would "lag," and I would lose frames. I persevered and thought that it was because I was using my phone as capture device over WiFi. I then got myself a long USB cable so that I could use that instead.
Third week (last week): I thought the long USB cable would work, but it didn't. Given that I was on a deadline (self imposed yes, but it's a mental health thing that I need to finish one painting a week, and I was on a tight schedule), I still pushed through, but decided that, for the next one, I would just go back to 1080p, and then get a1080p webcam so that I wouldn't have to crop. And, since I won't be recording 4k, I was hoping that that would fix the dropped frames/lag.
Earlier in the week though, I did a fresh install of Windows. So prior to my "recording session" earlier, everything is as "new" as it could be. Windows, the GPU drivers, OBS.
Which brings me to the problem. I redid the settings, hit record like I've been doing (I only record the video, and not the audio), and to my dismay, after 4 hours of painting, when I tried to stop the recording, it was just stuck at "Stopping Recording..." However, I could pause the video and switch between programs, check OBS settings etc.
Then I looked around and saw that there's usually a log, which I will attach here. Sadly, I can't redo the finished painting, and it will be so unfortunate if I lose the recording.
I was hoping that there's a way that it can be saved. I haven't turned the program off yet or did an end task.
Thanks in advance for the help.
