I've been trying unsuccessfully to google this issue for awhile now so I'm hoping someone here might know.
I installed OBS Studio about a year ago, only started actually using it very recently, but I figured out pretty quickly how to record with multiple audio tracks by first going into "Advanced Audio Settings" and checking in the boxes there which physical device I want on which audio track, and then going into the main settings "Output" and under the "Recording" tab checking more checkboxes (right under the "Recording format:" select box) to tell the program which tracks I want included in my file. I then export as an MKV, remux it to an MP4 and that's it, works great and when I import the file into my video editor (Lightworks) the audio tracks I selected with the checkboxes pop right up.
Then just now today, I was trying to help a friend set up her OBS Studio in the same way, but we eventually realised that she doesn't have that last setting at all. In fact, she doesn't even have a "Recording" tab, instead she has "Streaming" and "Recording" as different outlined boxes on the same page under "Output" and the checkboxes for selecting which audio tracks go into the exported file are simply nowhere to be seen, on ANY page in the settings from what we can tell.
We have been at this for half an hour now without being able to find any setting in her program like the one I have in my OBS Studio. I'm assuming she must have a newer version of the program than me, which only means I'm going to have the same problem myself if I upgrade to a newer version as well, so I'm just wondering - could anybody please tell me where you can choose how many audio tracks go into your file in the recent version of the program that lacks those checkboxes under the "Recording" tab that I have in mine?
