Recording two things

I have found plenty of discussions in here of people trying to create recordings of game play while including their own commentary on their game play, so they have essentially 2 video tracks & 2 audio tracks in the same multimedia file. I don't want to do that. In fact, I don't do gaming at all. But what I want to do shares many of the same characteristics with these other discussions. However, I think what I want to do is somewhat simpler.

Let's say I want to record a round of a golf tournament off NBCSports (https://www.nbcsports.com/watch/golf). Let's say there's also a hockey game on at the same time & I want to record it as well (http://onhockey.tv/). I have tried opening 2 instances of OBS & starting a recording of each event using a Window Capture source. The resulting files look OK. I emphasize look. Visually, they do the right thing. When I play back one file, what I see is hockey. When I play back the other file, what I see is golf. But in the case of both files, what I hear is hockey & golf commentary smushed on top of each other, which is, of course, totally unintelligible. How do I get the audio of the hockey video to be only the hockey commentary while the audio of the golf video is only the golf commentary? Yes, I have gone into the OBS settings & disabled Desktop Audio. I want the one instance of OBS to capture the audio from ONLY its Firefox window & the other instance of OBS to capture the audio from ONLY its Firefox window, & do it while both instances of OBS are simultaneously recording different livestreams. What happens is each instance of OBS captures both audio streams. How do I make OBS capture only the audio from its identified Firefox window while ignoring all other sources of audio that may be playing on the system?

In addition, I have found that the audio captured by OBS depends on the volume control in the Firefox window. If I mute the volume in Firefox, OBS captures a silent audio track. If I'm trying to capture 2 livestreams, I don't necessarily want to hear them. I want OBS to hear them, though. How can I get OBS to capture audio that's there regardless of the volume setting in the Firefox window? This is something I would want OBS to do if, let's say, I'm recording one livestream while I watch a different livestream, not recording it. I want OBS to "hear" the audio from the livestream I'm recording but not "hear" the audio from the livestream I'm watching. I want to be able to mute the audio of the livestream being recorded while I watch & listen to a different livestream. Or really anything else that involves audio.

Am I being clear? I can clarify anything I've said. Just ask.

Quite disappointing. This thread has gotten over 100 views but not a single response. Nobody has said they're interested in this issue. Nobody has said it can't be done. Nobody has said it's a stupid idea. Nobody has offered an actual solution. Nothing. In almost 2 weeks, nothing. I am entirely discouraged.
