Question / Help Recording to multiple audio-tracks only yields one track

Hey everyone,
I've been having this issue for a while and I've also read through other forum posts where people had a similar problem. But nothing helped.
I set my OBS Studio to record 2 audio tracks for recordings. Mic and Desktop Audio.

I made sure to set the Audio Tracks in advanced settings to 2, I'm using MKV as a container (tried different formats), I named all the tracks in the audio tab.

Also set the tracks in Advanced Audio Properties accordingly. All instruments get a clear and steady signal in the monitor.

But when I record and open the file in VLC, I always, only get the first track. And it's also not named but just called 'Track 1'

I'm using Windows 10. Newest version of OBS Studio (22.0.2) and my Audio Input Device is a Scarlett 2i2, which works just fine.

Is there anything that I'm overlooking / anything you see that I'm doing wrong?
Thanks so much for looking into it in advance, this is driving me nuts for days now.

While I'm troubleshooting, I might see the issue (that has been confusing me for a while while looking into other people's setups)

My Advanced Options always give me 'radio buttons' for the Audio Track setting

Meaning I can only select one. I always thought it's a weird design choice and that older versions had 'checkboxes' (where you can select multiple) - but it remained the same functionality. But no, this one is exclusive.
Meaning selecting Track 2 will make the recorded track in the video the second track from the Advanced Audio Properties.

*thinking*

How do I get this setting to be Checkboxes so I can select multiple tracks?

And I found the solution myself already. :D
I'm posting it for anyone who might stumble upon the same issue.

In the 'Recording Tab' of Advanced Settings->Output ... Type was set to "ffmpeg"

Switching this to Standard will give the correct options.
