Question / Help Recording Stutter Problem (Not Game Lag)

When I try and record any game, My game does not lag, but the preview screen when recording stutters a LOT, which causes the output file to be super laggy. Like I said My game doesn't lag, but the software itself does. I have looked up the best setting for recording and etc. It worked PERFECTLY before, but recently I have been getting this problem with the exact settings. Please help!

Same! Did this happen after twitch.tv changed things to "source" instead of 720p+ ? and do you have the same problems when using xsplit? the same has happened to my friend. I'm on the forums looking to help him fix it.

@CyanideVii I don't use xSplit, but everything works fine when streaming, just when I record.

i still dont under stand ,i already change all the settings to the best settings but the problem u guys talkin about is still happening!! can any1 give me advice,LIKE.. NOW!!!

ADVICE: NOW: - you are probably using SLI.
OBS doesn't play nice with SLI, it causes frameskips as it struggles to pull the frames from both cards.

Fix: Disable SLI

Alternative Fix: Use DXTory to capture the game play and output as video out, capture that in OBS.
