Question / Help recording/streaming virtual instruments (kontakt 5, addictive keys etc) in obs

Dear streamers

I've been trying for like 3 days now how to get the audio from a virtual instrument into obs, I've searched like the whole internet and I just can't find it.
I am a producer/pianist and I would like to use a virtual piano (addictive keys, grandeur, alicia's keys etc) into obs. There was one way I managed to do it with voxengo recorder in REAPER (creating a track > add voxengo and kontakt 5 > selecting one of my virtual piano's > route voxengo to obs) but this was with like 2 sec latency which is way way way too much.
So in summary, the thing I want to do is to get the audio of my output (the output of my virtual instrument (kontakt/addictive keys etc) into obs.

The reason why I want to do this is because the sound of my stagepiano is great but the sound of a virtual piano like native instrument's alicia's keys or the grandeur is fuller and even more realistic.
Doing live stream tutorials about virtual syntheseizers like omnisphere/massive/absynth would also be possible if I have a solution.

(btw I'm pretty new to obs so if this is a noobisch question with an easy sollution I'm very very sorry for your reading time)

Thank you soo much !

I am new to this as well, and have been having a hard time and if you look at the other posts here you will see related posts all over the place. Lots of people have the same problems and I do too!
As far as I can tell it's because OBS does NOT support ASIO devices such as audio interfaces used in music production. I am struggling with this myself, I found an ASIO to OBS plug in but that is not working for me either.

I am a jazz pianist, and I use a lot of VSTi pianos like those you mentioned. I do the following way:

I run my DAW, which is Sonar X3 and output to focusrite mixer. My pianos are installed on the DAW. I can run kontakt also, instead, same way. Then, I have a second audio card dedicated to OBS. It doesn't need to be fancy. I use an Echoaudio Layla 24. A stereo output pair from the focusrite mixer goes to a stereo input of the Layla 24 input mixer. On OBS, I set the audio input to receive it. So, I run my DAW normally. And OBS at the same time, capturing what I play on the piano, or everything, may be even my entire band. It's awesome that I use a dedicated second audio card only to OBS. I couldn't get it working fine only with one card, I got crackles, noises of all kinds. You make sure your second sound card is good for OBS. I tested this Layla 24 and the m-audio 1010LT both works fine. Perhaps even a 2 input stereo card would do the job.

Good luck.
