I'm trying to capture game footage from ScummVM. This is presenting a number of issues.
OBS will capture the games using window capture, but their positioning and resolution is difficult to get accurate. The graphic settings from within ScummVM make a huge difference here (I've generally been using 3x or HQ3x), and I have to choose "fit to screen" to make sure the image fills the screen properly. I can't tell if "set base resolution" is having an effect or not.
However, footage is only captured in windowed mode, if I go full screen the capture is either completely black or the image is not centred correctly (depending on what graphic mode is selected from within ScummVM). The colours are also overly vibrant, with a strange saturated look.
The other big problem is the game audio. The sound in the resulting video file sounds quite odd, almost like there is a chorus effect. As if the sound is being repeated a a few micro-seconds after it begins.
Has anybody had any better luck? Thanks!
