Recording right, but missing items in window

I got it to record (window capture then resized), but not recording some elements. I am trying to record logic x, In big Sur 11.03. It works but doesn't display vst (pigments or any vst), just the background (logic by itself). It shows me turning clips on, displays everything changing, but not the vst itself, an issue I can't find anywhere. Any ideas?

The FX windows are their own separate windows. The Window Capture is doing exactly what it's supposed to do, in capturing only the one that you specified, even if it's not on top. (a very useful feature) It's actually a *window* capture, not a specific screen area.

If you want to capture whatever is on the screen, use a Screen Capture instead. If you don't want the entire screen, you can crop it from there.

I mean now, when I choose display capture, then choose window manual, logic x project does not come up as an option. It will record me thru camera, but not the screen. Sound is fine, but no logic x option, have deleted it, reinstalled, redownloaded, it just doesn't even see logic. I'll try again tomorrow

Do you not have this?:

You're Mac and I'm Linux, but you should still have something.

Screen/Display Capture is different from Window Capture. You choose a physical screen, not a window, and you get whatever is on that screen, as if you had a capture card between the computer and the monitor.

I think it's an apple issue, logic did appear once a few hours ago, but not offering anything but desktop now. I updated in Dec. And there's been lots of bugs. That's the complete list of options

Okay, once I moved obs down (off screen) it "sees" the logic x project, and it appears in display capture (for me). I got a full screen video using logic x launching scenes, changing settings on pigments vst, with good sound. I want to record sessions this way, then post. It's awkward, needs to be edited, but exactly what I want for you tube. Thanks a lot for your help and have a good night
