Question / Help Recording resolution other than screen resolution

Hello,

I have got 2 monitors, one is 1366:768 and the other one is 1920:1080.
I want to record the screen with higher resolution.
It is recording it, output video is 1920:1080, but it is scaled from 1366:768.
I am recording the 1080p screen, but only previewing it on 768p screen.

Is there any way to record in 1080p? If yes, how to do this?

Thank you for replying,

RCRalph

Having a base resolution of 1920x1080 and capturing a 1920x1080 source will give you proper 1920x1080 footage.

OBS logs shows these resolution:
1. startup as base: 1920x1080, output: 1920x1080.
2. changed to base: 1280x720, output: 1280x720
3. changed to base: 1920x1080, output: 1280x720
4. recorded as an output of 1280x720, then stopped recording.
5. changed to base: 1920x1080, output: 1920x1080

Cannot improve an old recording that was made while at a poor 1280x720 output settings.

Just have it this base resolution: 1920x1080, output: 1920x1080. Make a new recording with both base 1920x1080 and output resolution set to 1920x1080.

Make sure in-game resolution settings is set to 1920x1080.

Ahhh, sorry guys, but my video viewer played a game with me and showed videos like it was in lower resolution and like 1000 kb/s bitrate. I'm really sorry. Anyway thank you for your support, Merry Xmas!!!
