Hi all, I'm having problem with this game, I switched to 640x480 but still freezing in certain area (quite a lot). I tried the bitrate from 2000 -> 1000 still didn't change much.

Btw, video encoding QVS seems less freezing than x264

Here's the log

Here's the log
Code:
WARNING: Another hook is already present
while trying to hook d3d9.dll, hook target
is unknown. If you experience crashes, try
disabling the other hooking application

try disabling in-home streaming and broadcasting from Steam they are currently both enabled by default.

QuickSync should work better because your mobile i5 wasn't made for x264 encode, so definitely use QVS.

Hi dping, thanks for the info, but too bad disabling those streaming/broadcasting didn't help, still freezing especially enemies come out :(

under the advanced tab, enable the option to "disable preview while encoding" and also dont have anything but OBS and the game running. definitely no browsers,

uninstall nvidia experience, overwolf (if you have it), and sometimes Razer Synapse, restart your PC and try again. Post a new log after doing this.

EDIT:

Code:
23:54:27: Video Encoding: QSV
23:54:27: fps: 30
23:54:27: width: 852, height: 480
23:54:27: target-usage: MFX_TARGETUSAGE_1_BEST_QUALITY

23:54:27: profile: MFX_PROFILE_AVC_HIGH
23:54:27: CBR: no
23:54:27: CFR: yes
23:54:27: max bitrate: 1000
23:54:27: buffer size: 1000
23:54:27: rate control: VBR

set target usage to balanced, (I dont know what the option is called...)
profile to main
buffer size to 0 (this will give the encoder what it needs to record at best quality for your resolution)

After you get all this done, you "might" be able to raise your resolution to 720p, but make sure you downscale from your main resolution to 720p

Done accordingly, here's the log. From the recorded video seems nothing different :(

Edit: Or is it my pc spec not enough?

change bitrate to 0 (ZERO)

ensure there is nothing but your game and OBS running.

Read the log, there is still something trying to hook your application. please check back through the list of software I mentioned above one more time just to be sure that there is nothing else in that criteria that could be using your game along with OBS.

since you are using Quicksync, your exact specs shouldn't make a huge difference (especially with 480p@30 but test the game without streaming of course and compare. do you have a sample of your outcome video? if so, post it to YT and walk me through what you are seeing.

Hi, sorry again I already set buffer bitrate to 0 but it shows 3000, or you mean the max bitrate?

I don't have Nvidia exp. or the Razer thing but "Nvidia settings", can't be turn off right?

Okay I will upload a video soon, I notice it freezes at the same spots such as the spots where enemy appears...

bitrate to 1000, buffer to 0, not both to 0

Test vid uploaded, I've checked there's no Nvidia stuff running from task manage, just OBS and the game (and steam) are running when i'm recording, buffer bitrate is 0, but it shows 3000?

Here's the video (it takes awhile, YT still processing)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBwGNGIwhA0

set process priority to above normal for OBS but no higher. turn down your settings a little within the game.

can you try 480p @ 30fps 10000 (ten thousand) bitrate and buffer?

Thanks

Done accordingly, too bad it's still same :(
My game settings is very low now, texture, shadow etc.... all set to low, I've no idea it didn't help to make it any better

have you checked in your programs and features in control panel for the programs I mentioned?

overwolf, nvidia experience, razer synapse and double check to ensure broadcasting and in-home streaming are still disabled and unchecked respectively. just for the heck of it, any other capture software that you've used uninstall. It will be worth to do one more thorough check for this to work.

restart PC and do the following tests...

try checking the anti cheat compatibility hook in the game capture's properties then test.

might even have you remove the game capture and try window capture then test again.

Any change from these two tests?

Yes I did all of them, and I don't have overwolf and razer, the Nvidia in my programs and feature are Nvidia driver and Physx. Windows capture still the same, sigh...

That freezing always happen around the similar area, could it be the game problem or my spec problem? but I watch other people didn't face such problem. Anyway, thank you so much for helping,
