Question / Help Recording problems

Hello,

I am currently trying to record videos using OBS. Whenever I look into the video files, it comes up as a .flv file. I tried to convert the file to a video, but when it opens up Windows Media Player, it says that windows media player does not support the file type/codec. What do I do?

you would then have to record in mp4 since .flv isn't supported by windows media player. but i think if you edit the file in like adobe premiere or sony vagas you will be able to render it in mp4 so you can view the video in WMP.

there's also an option some where to record in mp4 but i have no idea where that option is

Thank you soo much! I looked up a video on how to change a video to mp4, and it worked very well. Thanks again!
