Question / Help Recording Problem

Started recording my first video with OBS studio and then once i was done about 5-10 minuted later, i hit the "Stop recording button". An hour later, it still shows "Stopping recording". Could someone explain to me why its doing this.

update i did another recording and it ended recording instantly. Why did it work that time? is it an occasional thing? Is it because of my recording format? (I record in mp4 btw)
