I am recording my Fortnite Replay Mode gameplay with OBS. Replay mode is not live gameplay, it is the footage of a game already played which Fortnite saves. To get that footage, I am re-recording it.
I have done this since about October and haven't had any lag in my recordings. Now, my recordings are extremely laggy, especially when audio plays. I tested this by not having any audio play and the footage wasn't lagging. When I let the audio play, mostly loud gunshots, it lags severely. As soon as audio plays, the quality takes a massive dip, and never really gets back to where it should be. I have tried lowering settings, and it still isn't changing much of anything. I don't know if I changed an audio setting or what, but this shouldn't be happening, especially because I have a decent PC... I have an FPS counter in the corner showing how my PC is capable of displaying this footage, and I don't understand how my PC can't even record it in good quality ANYMORE...
I have an i5-8600k and a GTX 1060 6GB with 16GB of RAM. Everything is amply cooled.
I have no idea why this is happening. It never happened before, and now it sometimes lags even when audio ISN'T playing.
I tried to revert my settings but even if I remove OBS and fully delete it then redownload it, it doesn't revert my settings to the default, it somehow saves them.
Please help me!
