Question / Help Recording one window?

So I am fairly new to this software, and have figured out how to record the full screen, but I do not understand how to record a window that is open. For example, I am playing a video game, but I just want to record that video game window, nothing else. How do I do this? Am I still able to record if I leave that window and do something else?

If you are using window capture or game capture, then for the most part, yes. These are designed to capture the actual window layer, so it doesn't matter if it's being obscured by something on top of it.
