recording low quality and fps

I downloaded OBS and put the settings to be the best for good quality but when i record i get like 1 to 10fps and the res drops every 5 seconds, i used a different recording software and with that it recorded perfectly fine but i have to pay for it, how can i fix this RES and FPS problem?

specs:
CPU:intel i7-6700HQ
GPU:Nvidia geforce GTX 960M
memory: 16GB

Probably the "best for good quality" should be a problem. Go to the settings select Output and Advanced Mode. Under Encoder settings, inside the CPU Preset, pick one from fast to veryfast and see If this can solve your problem. Also there's a similar problem that you're facing with.
