Question / Help [Recording Issue] Random high pitch sound in sound tracks

Hey everyone,

I just started to record with OBS studio, I had used the software to stream with the last 3 years and thought why not try to record some small montages.

I ran into a little problem, it seems like all my sound tracks have this random high pitch that just show up, at first I thought it was the powersource for my audio interface that had to low , but since this also happens on my Gameplay and Communication Tracks, I kinda doubt it's there the problem is.

But it seems Im not alone on this matter, I had read alot of forum posts in here that kinda have the same issue but no solution, Im not counting on an answer but it would be appreciated.

- Update to most current audio drivers from manufacturer, not Microsoft
- Right click/disable all audio devices in Windows Sound that aren't in use in both Playback and Recording tabs. Remove too if you don't need them.
- Mute and turn volume off for all audio recording hardware not in use. Disconnect power and unplug to be more on safe side.
- Set OBS audio sample rate and make sure all your audio devices that you use in your stream/recordings are set to that same rate in Windows Sound
