I have been recording many games on OBS with these settings and never had a problem, I changed them based on friends recommendations and through some light online research. But now when I play Alien:Isolation and attempt to record it, it begins recording at 1 fps even though my in game fps is fairly normal for my card.
Please see my attached log files.
Thanks for reading.

why dont you just use shadowplay for simple recording?
I did but because I have an AT2020 condenser microphone connected through an audio interface, that's requires the mic to be recorded via mono, instead shadowplay only allows stereo mics, therefore during gameplay the mic only comes through the left ear and is irritating as hell, it's my only issue with shadowplay and hope they change it soon.

well for the log you have a ton of duplicated frames

and quite a lot late frames
14:20:20: Total frames encoded: 6558, total frames duplicated: 3019 (46.04%)
14:20:22: Total frames rendered: 3555, number of late frames: 281 (7.90%) (it's okay for some frames to be late)

maybe try playing around with the nvenc presets and also make sure that you are running obs as admin

Using the default preset is recommended for NVENC, please try that and see if it makes a difference.

What exactly happens when the frames are duplicated, does this mean I should record at 60fps rather than 30fps?

no this means your encoder cant keep up and since its on nvenc 1080p30 as recording shouldnt be a problem at all

Just played again while recording on NVDefault, it started lagging again, although I believe it's because nvidia inspector isn't restricting the frame rate to 70 degrees as it's meant to, so my temps are going very high, which may be causing the issue.

nvidia cards shouldnt have any problems or whatsoever since cpu boost 2.0 has an default temperature target of 80°C
