Question / Help recording hotkeys not working

so I am in a game (black desert online)

I have set recording to F5 and stop to F6.

Nothing happens in the game if I hit them?

try setting it to ctrl+alt+F5 and ctrl+alt+F6. the game might try and own that hotkey just like you probably shouldn't set a recording key to a movement key.

Does not work

the hotkeys are working if I focus the OBS window, but not within a game.
