Question / Help Recording Gameplay with Facecam?

Has anyone ever used two capture cards while streaming/recording? Using one capture card for recording a console, and the other capture card for capturing the HDMI out on a medium-high end-ish camcorder? Would it be possible? Would it work well provided the CPU or GPU is strong enough?

Or would it be wiser to record separately with just the camcorder? How would I go about syncing up the camcorder's footage with my gameplay footage?

If your camcorder is separate from your computer than all you have to do is record your face with your camera and than put the gameplay and the face recording into a video editor. Set the gameplay as the main frame and set the face cam as an over lay then shrink down the face cam to see the gameplay.
