Recording game and mic audio separately wont work

Hello,
I'm trying to record my gameplay audio in one track and my mic audio in the second track but when I record the only thing that shows up is my game audio. It shows that my mic works but when I check the files it just shows my game file, where's the mic audio file?. Even when I open it in Sony Vegas it just shows my game audio only.
Anyone know how to fix this please?

Are you using the Simple or Advanced Output mode? Settings -> Output

Simple is Track 1 only. Advanced lets you use multiple Tracks.

The settings don't carry over from Simple to Advanced; you have to copy them manually and then refine from there.

Yea, I'm using advance.
Okay. One more thing that trips people up is that the Tracks don't mix with each other. They're kept separate as "alternative audio". That's useful for things like different languages or descriptive audio, that you can select on playback, or to keep things separate and mix them later. If you want to hear both at the same time, they need to be on the same Track in OBS.

I want them separately is the thing so i can edit them in my editor. I have my game audio in track 1 and my mic in track 2. But the only thing that shows up is my game audio being recorded

Does VLC or Shotcut work? Not all editors are all that smart, including the big names.

That's just a quick thing that I recorded just now to get the screenshots.

I used to be able to drag files with multiple tracks perfectly into Sony Vegas. But now that I switched to this PC, OBS just wont record all my audio tracks except my gameplay is what im saying.

It might still be good to have comparison screenshots between something that works and something that doesn't. If you can go back to your previous rig that worked, just for the screenshot, you might do that, or you might install one or both of the apps that I showed, just for the screenshot.

Also show the settings, not just the results.

I too, along with about a dozen more that I've seen here on the Forums are having the same Issue. If so many are having the same issue and all are on different PCs then, to me, it points back to OBS not doing something right. I've tried a ton of things even uninstalling OBS and reinstalling it. It's just not recording any soundtracks other than Track 1 even if you are in Advance and have all 6 tracks set with different sources.
