Question / Help Recording Fortnite On A Dell G7

I have a Dell G7 16 GB i7 8th Gen processor with nvidia1060 video card. I cannot get Game Capture to work. Audio is fine, video is black. I've got the use anti-cheat compatibility set and I've also gone into the advanced section of the output settings and changed the recording encoder to the nvenc h.264. Still black screen. I was able to get the display capture working but game play and the recording are very laggy. We specifically bought a gaming laptop so we could play/record fortnite and I'm beyond frustrated. Please help. would much prefer to get game capture working but will take display as long as it's not laggy. Fortnite becomes laggy as soon as I open OBS - I don't even have to start recording.

Just wanna bump up this issue - I just bought a Dell G7 laptop too, game capture does not work. ??? Literally every single other machine I have ever tried with both AMD and NVidia GPU's, some over 5 years old, has worked. What is up?

Figured it out - the game I was running was not actually using the Nvidia gpu, must have been using the intel. I went into the NVidia global settings and set it to always use "highest performance" (Nvidia gpu) and game capture started working. Woohoo!
