Recording file size very large

Hey yall,

I've been starting to use obs with a capture card to record gameplay footage on a console, and my recordings have gotten ridiculously large. A two minute video was 38 MB. Currently, I have been using the basic 2500 kbps. Should I lower it or is this normal?
