Recording blurry

Just finished a session of recording. I had two OBS instances open. 1. recording my webcam and microphone footage and 2. recording my screen using desktop capture.

Only thing I can think of is that my bitrate is too low at 2500. The odd thing is I never had a quality issue the last time I recorded. Do you guys suggest I bump my recording up to 7500 or what do you suggest?

I also want to add that my laptop native resolution is 2560x1600 (Legion 5) so I am guessing 2500 bitrate is way to low. Should I downsize my game settings to 1920x1200 since the screen is considered a 16" laptop not a 15"?

Does that screen shot pixelation look like it is a bitrate issue?

The part that I get confused about is if I run the game at 1920x1200 should my video settings be set to the same? or leave it as my native desktop resolution of 2560x1600?

Change the output mode to simple, recording quality to indistinguishable, recording format to mkv, recording encoder to software, low cpu usage preset.

Do NOT use a bitrate number for recording.

Thank you, here is the changes.

Do you happen to know the answer to my second question about resolution

Make sure to set your base resolution to be the even numbers as well as your output when using resolutions the same.
Even scaling that one pixel out in each direction can cause distortion.

You will need to experiment yourself to see if monitor resolution or game resolution works better for you.

Ok I fixed the output resolution. I wasnt sure why it added that 1 extra pixel.

How do you suggest I test monitor res or game res? Do they need to set to the same thing? I know some games I would downsize to 1080 to get a higher framerate.
