Question / Help Recording Bad Quality

Hi there person of the internet!

When I try to record Minecraft, it looks good on the preview. But then as soon I watch it, everything is extra pixely and blurry.

If you allow me, I will link to a video of it - this could be advertising though.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks,
Frogster.

Best is to post your logfile:

more than likely you are using default settings with 1000 bitrate.

for local recordings in general, set buffer to 0 (which will unlock your bitrate for the quality/resolution you are using), uncheck CBR, and set the CPU preset to superfast.

Again, these are settings for local recording only!

Your settings still give a blurry outcome.

you've set a downscale to 360p so your output will be 360p quality. If you changed it to 720p like a suggested, you'll get an output res of 720p. That is exactly how it should look based on your downscale. If you want 1080p quality, then set downscale to none.

i thought my videos were bad because i was watching the .flv files in windows movie maker which made it look blurry, once i uploaded the .flv to utube or converted it to a .mp4 or .wmv it looked the way its supposed to, so i guess when viewing the .flv its important to make sure you're using a good player
