Recording a silenced video

I want to record a webinar taking place while I am in a meeting. Hence I would like to silence the webinar. However. I have tried doing so and the recorded video is generated without sound. The audio is necessarily encoded in the webinar's stream. Is there an option to record (with sound) a silenced webinar?

Install an audio loopback driver. That'll give you a virtual speaker that you can send the webinar to (with the sound on), instead of your physical speakers. It'll also give you a virtual mic that you can connect OBS to.
