Question / Help Recording 720p using elgato skipping frames

I have an AMD A6-5200 APU with Radeon HD Graphics with 4 gigs of RAM. I can stream in 480p and it does not look so choppy but if I want file output only for a clean 720p video, it skipps frames and looks very choppy. What settings should I use for a smooth video?
