Question / Help Recorded window won't refresh until I minimize my fullscreen game

I currently have my stream set up so that people can see me in one window, twitch chat in another window, and the actual game play in the other. I play the game in full screen mode. The problem is I can't figure out how to get the twitch chat in the stream to refresh in real time since it only refreshes after I minimize the game to check on the chat. There is absolutely no point in having chat in the stream at all if this is what has to be done to get the comments to load in the stream. Is there a way around this WHILE staying in full screen mode? I prefer full screen since the game runs more fluidly.

Especially if the game uses a fullscreen exclusive mode, there is no way to capture a window. But in general for a window to keep rendering you have to move it to a secondary monitor or run the game in window mode.
