Hello, everyone, I just discovered OBS today, and would like some assistance with it, please. I haven't found the solution to my problem in the documentation--yet.
I have a Microsoft Life Cam VX-5000 running on Windows 10. The Life Cam software does not synch the video and audio properly. So, I went looking for alternate software that might get the a/v in synch. OBS does that.
Just one slight problem: When I preview and/or record the video, the frame appears only in the upper left portion of the OBS screen. It does not fill the entire screen.
When I play back the MP4 file in VLC Media Player, the same thing happens. The video takes up only a rather small portion of the upper left section of the screen.
I haven't figured out how to configure OBS so that the video fills the entire screen. I'm not sure if that's possible.
Is there a way to configure OBS so that the preview and/or recorded output takes up the entire window of a playback program such as VLC? If there is, what is the procedure?
Thank you for your assistance. J. Danniel
PS: Just to clarify...I am not recording games, or anything on my monitor. I am trying to create a video directly from my webcam. Thank you.
