Question / Help Recorded File Stuttering (Not During Game, Just The Output File)

Hey there,

So I have been using OBS for a while now, it has worked perfectly up until this week. All of a sudden every file I record has a poor rate or stutters throughout. I have tried several settings and my Laptop is more than capable to record HQ videos.

Anyone got any suggestions or any settings that might be causing this?, Not sure if its a bug or not.

your i5 cannot handle the load from streaming at 1080@60fps even with ultrafast preset. I would check what else you have running as you were probably borderline before.

13:44:03: Total frames encoded: 5173, total frames duplicated: 2118 (40.94%)
13:44:03: Total frames rendered: 3865, number of late frames: 510 (13.20%)

If you check out the above, you are duplicating 40% of the frames you are sending. this % needs to be below 1% to look good. below 0.5% would be best.

I would highly recommend down-scaling to 1280x720.and keeping things closed that don't need to be running while you record.
