im new to obs and i want to record but i found out that the record file is flv is there any way to change it to mp4 for a mac

Go to the file menu, and use the "remux" option to change it to a different format (MP4 ideally). It will simply change the container format to MP4. We'll eventually have direct MP4 file saving available at some point in time.

You can also use any video converter software once the file has been recorded

The FIle menu is at the top of the screen, next to the Apple logo, as long as you are in OBS.
