Record iphone screen just with cable

hi,

i read the threads in this forum about capturing you iphone screen.
Is it a new feature that you don't need any extra apps or plugin to make it work?

I just plug in the phone with lightning cable (iphone X) on my Mac with macOs 10.15.7 and get the screen as video source.
Don't get any latency.

Is this correct?
