Question / Help Record Face Cam + Gameplay Separately?

Hiya, I was wondering how to record a face cam, one source, and a gameplay, another source, separately.

I actually did come across a Reddit thread but it didn't fully answer my question, "http://www.reddit.com/r/letsplay/comments/2r3xkt/any_way_to_record_facecam_separate_from_gameplay/" where someone mentioned:
"Firstly, make a shortcut for OBS on the desktop then right click it and click properties. In the "target" section don't change anything, just to go to the end and write "-muti" MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS FOR THE 32 AND 64 BIT. This will allow you to open 2 instances of OBS at the same time"

When doing this, I got a "name specified in the Target box is not valid, Make sure the path and filename are correct" when trying to do the -multi thing

I hope you don't mind me re-asking to this forum if any of you guys know how to actually do this.

For the record, I do generally double with dxtory + obs to have a separate recording of facecam and gameplay, it makes editting closeups feasible since the 2 sources are separate, but I'm trying to record a flash game, where only OBS can support it, and dxtory doesn't have a facecam recording possibility.

Thanks for any help!

"C:\Program Files\OBS\OBS.exe" -multi
"C:\Program Files (x86)\OBS\OBS.exe" -multi

Target path should look like that, quotes and all; the "C:\~\~" is gonna change if you installed it elsewhere, obviously

... I think I missed the spacebar. Thanks for your help, and my stupidity.

Hello, sorry to ressurect an old topic.

I am just curious how much of a hit does having to instances of OBS running have on CPU etc?

Thanks in advance!
