Recent convert from Win to Mint, cant get Advanced Mask to work

technically it doesn't show in Filters for the camera. I used it all the time on Win when I livestreamed so I know how to manipulate it once open. Anyway I downloaded the Linux version, extracted it and started OBS, no Advanced Mask. Restarted the PC, no Advanced Mask. These are the selectable items in Filters: Apply LUT, Chroma Key, Color Correction, Color Key, Crop/Pad, HDR Tone Mapping (Override), Image Mask/Blend, Luma Key, Move Action, Move Source, Move Value, Move transition override, Render Delay, Scaling/Aspect Ratio, Scroll, Sharpen.
