Hi guys right now i have terrible connection 5/1mbit (Estonia)( screenshot in thread)
That means i download files with 500-600kbps speed.
But i can easily watch twitch on source and high without buffer.
I know that this is rly low speed to stream on 720p
But im getting new package 20/5mbit , will be this enought to stream in 2k bitrate or what?
Im completly lost in those nubmers, if i get new internet with 5 upload ( not bytes but bits) is okay to stream or not
Someone please explain exactly on my situation, cus iv seen million sites where everyone says thst it ill be enought to stream with 3-4m upload, but in my case is right or i miss undestand something

3-5mbps upload should allow streaming at 2000kbps smoothly, unless you have a REALLY bad route to the ingest server.

Yes, 500-600kbps is far too low for 720p. 240p or 360p would be the max I would risk on that little bitrate.

500-600kbps is my download speed
When you are talking about 3-5mpbs upload you mean 3mbit or 3mbytes?

Mbps is Mega bits per second.
MB/s may be Mega Bytes per second.

You need more upload speed to stream, less then 2 Mbps is not enough to stream 720p. Maybe look for internet service provider (ISP) that may offer faster speeds. Your current ISP might offer faster speed at a bigger price?

mbps or Mbps = megabit
mBps or MBps = megabyte

You have 5/1 which is 5000kbps/1000kbps. So a 500-600kbps upstream would be supported.

So you'd meant you download files at 500-600KB/s; kilobytes per second, which would make sense for a 5mbps down connection.

lowercase b = bit, uppercase B = byte. :)
