Question / Help Really odd OBS lag

Hello!

I was recording the Call of Duty modern warfare remastered using OBS today and I was getting a very large amount of lag. The gameplay on my end (that I could see with my monitor) never dipped below 40fps (which still seemed low, but thats off topic) but on OBS it was only getting 13-20 fps.

I tested it with OBS studio as well and lagged on that as well. I really do not know what is causing the lag. Ive had issues similar in the past with GTA V, but that was solved by just switching to regular OBS instead of studio. (Hence the fact I am using OBS instead of Studio)

Any tips / ideas would help.

(**Note - I can record MOST other games fine. So idk)

00:38:58: Total frames rendered: 553, number of late frames: 334 (60.40%) (it's okay for some frames to be late)

Windows 10 with Nvidia drivers doesn't like OBS in terms of performance. It doesn't matter if you got the best CPU and the best GPU in the world if you're uncapping the game's performance.

Since you're I'd try using NVENC and see if it still happens and if it doesn't work you're basically pushing the GPU hard.

Oddly enough OBS on Windows 7 and 8.1 runs significantly better than OBS on 10.
