Readable log files during streaming

I need to monitor if the stream is OK and receive alert when something goes wrong somehow (eg. OBS crash, connection lost). There are several options. One way is read a parse "log" file.

However if the stream is not finished, log files are locked. Would by possible to unlock them only for read?

Or if you have an idea of better solution, I would appreciated it.

The rest of the information that isnt in there is not available until a stream is done.
