Question / Help Razer Ripsaw Freezing

I just recently purchased a Razer Ripsaw moving from an El Gato HD60, I got everything setup and went to go live on Twitch. Everything went smoothly until about 90 seconds in when the capture froze, webcam and mic were still working fine. It will freeze anywhere from instantly to just over 2 minutes in. I don't see any reason as to why this would be happening.

This one the freeze happened within 30 seconds of going live.

Looking into this a bit more seems like it has to be used in the 64bit version of OBS? Unclear really but it recommends 8GB of RAM (Have 16 so shouldn't be an issue if I do)

Make sure the webcam and ripsaw are on separate USB Host controllers in the Device Manager. Just select 'view devices by connection' to see if they're on a common host controller. Either one of those will flood out the bandwidth on a single USB 2.0 HC.

Consider also running your webcam at lower than 1080p, to reduce overhead and bus bandwidth usage.
1900kbps is NOT enough for 720p@60 video; it's below the recommended for 720@30 even.

Beyond that, might be worth contacting Razer, as this sounds like a problem with the capture device rather than OBS.

The Ripsaw is a 3.0 card and is plugged into a 3.0 port. They shouldn't be conflicting in that way, I'll double check when I get home from work though.

What motherboard and USB 3.0 controller you using?

Does USB 3.0 capture work on a different computer with different USB 3.0 controller?

Some USB 3.0 controllers does not work very well, A compatible PCI-E USB 3.0 card can be used.

Motherboard is ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 I don't have any other computers that have USB3.0 that are strong enough to test on unfortunately.

Hi guys, I've been searching high and low across the internet for a solution to this and the one that worked for me was buying a USB 3.1 PCI-E Expansion Card Adapter. I've got one like this but there's a lot of brands out there.

This problem is not only limited to Ripsaw but other capture cards that uses the USB 3.0 slot. From what I've read this happens mostly to people who are using older motherboards which has the early releases of USB 3.0 controllers.

TL:DR - If you're using USB 3.0 and your capture card stream/recording freezes after a random amount of time and you need to refresh the source, get a USB 3.1 PCI-E Expansion Card Adapter.

@Konzen I have bad news for all who have this problem. Buying USB3.1 PCI-E Expansion Card Adapter is not 100% solution.
On USB3.0 on my motherboard it takes about 2-5 minutes to freeze.
I bought USB3.1 PCI-E adapter from ASUS and now it takes 1 second to freeze.
It is even worse :/
