So I'm pulling my hair out a bit. I'd like to record/stream my drawing process online, but I can't seem to shake how -soft- everything looks. I'll get right down to my hardware and log file to look at settings. Also have a side by side screen grab of OBS video vs RAW footage directly from the camera.
Camcorder: Canon HF R800
manual everything, OIS off.
Intel i7 4790K
16GB DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB)
Elgato CamLink
Here's a link to the log file from the last recording:

Here's the side by side image: OBS Is left, Camcorder Right. I know it might be silly, but that camcorder gets more sharpness than what I'm able to get in OBS, and I really would like to have that since I plan to upload recording to YouTube as well, after the twitch broadcast. I'd hate to have to run my iPhone as well just to get the sharper timelapse video. :-/...
(I think I'm also just going insane, I use a 1440p monitor to do my OBS setup and even at 50% I feel like the video I'm getting is always soft and crappy, slightly better than a C920, but still disappointing since I picked up a 1080p 60fps capable camcorder to hopefully knock out a $50 webcam for quality :/ )
Thanks for reading, any insight would be great.
NOTE: also have odd issues with crashes or lockups of OBS not starting the cam feed, or CamLink and Game CaptureHD just freezing or sitting in running processes. Weird but those are manageable with a restart if they happen.
