Question / Help Random webcam FPS drops

Hello,

I posted this issue on Reddit, hoping someone may have the same issue as me but I seem to be at a dead end.

Occasionally when I'm streaming my webcam will suddenly jump to a very low FPS. It just seems like I'm presenting a slideshow rather than a live webcam :(. I quickly fix this by disabling and re enabling the cam (on OBS) and this fixes the issue. This seems to happen very randomly and I can't quite figure out what's causing it. I am using a Logitech C920. Please let me know if you need anymore information! as I'm not entirely sure what to do.

My suggestion:
Change Match FPS to a fixed value like 30fps and reduce resolution of the webcam to 720p, as full resolution can cause some bugs/hickups on some USB controlers.
For example: I had strange, low backround noises, on my headphones, while playing+recording with OBS. As soon as I reduced the webcam resolution, they were gone.

If the problem still occurs, please upload the OBS logfile from that session.

Thanks for the response, I am currently at work so I can't produce a OBS logfile (im not 100% sure how to do this). Last night I changed the resolution to 720 and I had my FPS at 30 and the problem still persisted :(
