Hi

Wanted to see if i could get some help on a stuttering issue with OBs using Elgato 4k x ,
My recordings are all of game play, usually around 45mins long, The recordings seem good apart from around the 20 min mark give or take a few minutes i get about 5 seconds of stuttering then it clears up, then 15/20mins later it will happen again.
in between that point the recordings are smooth as butter.
I would like to see if you could help in trying to sus out how to remove the stutters.
This is the last log,
Thanks for any help you may give.

Mute sound from Video Capture Device and add Audio Capture Device.
Video Capture Device has sound 44100Hz, but this same Audio Capture Device use 48000Hz, your OBS use 48000Hz.

Why Output Audio Device ?
Use Input Audio Device, your audio is as input like video.
Mute audio in Input Video Device.
Hi
Yeah im getting a bit messed up now, so this is my settings as they stand,
I have 2 sources, Video Capture Device and Audio Input Capture. The Audio Input Capture is set to use device Elgato 4k x
I have 4 open in the Audio Mixer. Audio Input Capture (assigned to track 1) Desktop Audio is Muted. Mic/Aux is assigned to track 2 using the yeti mic. last one is Video Capture Device , I have this one muted.

In the windows sound section, Output is set for Speakers (realtek usb audio) and the input is set for Microphone Yeti x

At the moment no game audio is being recorded, Just the microphone ,if i change the windows output to Speakers Elgato Sound Capture i cant hear anything through the headphones.

Sorry to be a pain,
I appreciate the help.

If you change in system Windows output to Speakers Elgato Sound Capture - this send all sound to this device is natural you can't hear on headphones connected to PC (i think you say about headphones connected to console ?), Elgato Sound Capture is HDMI OUTPUT (your device has 2 HDMI one for input signal, one for output signal).
I suggest disable all Global Audio Device. Add Audio Input Capture to Scenes where you need.
To record Audio from game, you must select Advanced Audio Properties, e.g. Track 1, check all audio (game, mic etc.), on Track 2 check only game, on Track 3 check only mic, next step Settings / Output / Recording check all track 1,2,3 (of course you can use more or less). In this example you got: Track with all sound, Track wit separate game and mic sound. If you use any video editor you can cut video with multiaudio track and select which audio track you need at moment.

Hi

Followed your suggestion`s and initial signs seem a lot better, only did a 20min video to test, no stutters so far, Ill do a longer test video after i get some sleep lol.
Thanks again for your help on this, Ill report back later to let you know how the longer video went.
Cheers
