I have been trying to get a quality stream running for a while and right now I feel I am on the right track after having people giving me their advice etc. When the stream works I can stream properly for sometimes a few hours sometimes a few minutes without any problems but then weird stuff happens.
According to OBS the upload indicator which is normally very steady in between 2500 and 3500 kb/s suddenly drops to something between 0-1000 and keeps fluttering from 0 to 1000 pretty much. While it does this I did a Speedtest which resulted in the following results: Ping - 15ms Download speed - 158 mb/s Upload speed - 10mb/s.
To give you an idea my download is usually between 100-200 and my upload never goes above 13 where 10-12 is actually very normal and the expected result.
I also contacted my provider who have sent me a new modem (also a newer model) but this was unfortunately not a fix. I am using a wired connection so it is not an issue with wireless either. I am getting a little desperate because sometimes I cannot stream for 10 minutes and sometimes for a few hours and since the speedtest indicated normal results I have got a feelings its something with OBS or the settings.
