Question / Help Quicksync

Before I upgrade my CPU, I want to try enabling QSV.
I have an i3 3220 with an asrock h61m board.
Both qsv enabled... I just can't figure out how to get it working.
Google is a nightmare trying to find out how to do this.

Never mind, got it working.
Had to enable igpu in bios
Update drivers
success

Now to see if it actually makes a difference ;)

Don't forget to enable it in OBS. Quality will be somewhere between Veryfast and the next step up... but with next to zero CPU utilization, it'll likely help IMMENSELY with that i3.

Well.. I just enabled in OBS.. I didn't know I had to turn it on somewhere else.
I just went into the bios and enabled igpu multi-monitor or something..
then installed latest intel drivers and I was able to select it in OBS

Is there anything else I need to do?

Nope, getting that "Use QSV" checkbox to not be greyed out is the final boss. As long as you can check it, you are good to go.

Alright.. I'm not really sure if there's much of a performance boost. I can't use fraps to check FPS because game capture stops working.. as far as "smoothness" goes.. I guess it's playable which is all I ask for haha
