Question / Help QuickSync Video HEVC (H.265)

Using OBS 23.01 on Lenovo laptop using Kaby Lake i7-8550U. I am able to encode with Quicksync Video H.264 in standard mode, but when I go to advanced I am looking for QSV HEVC code, and I don't see it.

To make sure that it is all supported on my machine, I downloaded the latest handbrake and I am able to successfully use h264 and h265 encoding with QSV.

What am I missing?

bro how the hell you have h265? I have i5 8400 and intel hd graphics 630 and with the newest drivers when I press streaming my obs quits instantly then I updated some old ones from 2018 and works good but I got just h264
What driver do you have ? can you past it down here?

I am saying I have QuickSync HEVC on handbrake on this machine, and it works. I can verify that the GPU is being used and the encoding is much faster than generic x265 on HANDBRAKE. However, I don't see this code available on OBS, only QuickSync H.264. I WANT to see QuickSync HEVC/H.265.

I also downloaded FFmpeg 4.11 and can encode using hevc_qsv, and it works great. Just looking to use these on OBS.

Hi, can you please share the full command and parameters on how you did hevc_qsv with native ffmpeg 4.11.
